Maths week October 2017
Despite Storm Ophelia shortening the school week, the children took part in a very enjoyable Maths week. All children were busy using their estimation skills trying to guess how many sweets were in the jars- Eabha Smyth in 1st class and Daniel Kelly , 4th class being the lucky winners!!
The school yard was a hive of activity with children carrying out their maths trails and discovering maths in the school environment. Lego maths was enjoyed by 1st & 2nd class. The infants made a number character out of their favourite number, made shape monsters and designed their own Maths hat. First and second also designed a maths hat. We certainly have a lot of budding designers in the school !
