A Nature Walk Around Kilchreest National School with 1st and 2nd class
Kilchreest National School is situated in a beautiful rural setting, surrounded by fields, forests, and rivers. This made it the perfect place to take our first and second class students on a nature walk.
As we walked, we kept an eye out for birds and other wildlife. We also stopped to admire the wildflowers and trees. On route we experienced a variety of trees, including oak, ash, and birch.
We encouraged our pupils to use their senses to explore the natural world around them.
Taking our pupils on a nature walk was a great way to teach them about the natural world and to help them develop an appreciation for the outdoors. It was also a fun and active way to learn.
