St. Thomas’ Senior Hurling Team Makes History
On Friday, November 10th, the victorious St. Thomas’ senior hurling team brought the cup to the school, celebrating their historic achievement of winning their sixth consecutive senior county title. This remarkable feat marks their eighth final win since 2012, solidifying their position as a dominant force in Galway hurling.
On October 28th, the team overcame Turloughmore in an electrifying match at Pearse Stadium, securing a heart-stopping 2-12 to 1-13 victory. Their unwavering determination and exceptional talent shone through, etching their names into the annals of hurling history.
The school community is brimming with pride for its past pupils who have brought such honor to the institution. Kenneth Burke, Cathal Daly, David Burke, Fintan Burke, Damien Finnerty, Glen Linnane, Daryl Burke, and Jason Niland took time out of their busy schedules to visit the school, inspiring the next generation of hurling stars.
