Our Geography Plan outlines the knowledge, skills and attitudes that the staff of Kilchreest N.S. hope to impart to the students. The plan highlights the importance of (i) exploration of the child’s immediate local environment and (ii)encouraging the child to become an active agent in his/her learning. The time allocated for geography each week is as follows:

• Infants 45 minutes
• 1st – 6th class is 1hour.

Time can be blocked and discretionary time may be used for trails or tours. The geography curriculum is divided into 3 strands and the table below outlines the strand units covered in each class.
