Dear Parents & Guardians,
Please find below a list of recent and upcoming events.
Christmas Concerts: Preparations are well under way for this year’s concerts. We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 20th. The times for each class are below:
Infants: 11:30 – 12:00
1st & 2nd: 12:15 – 12:45
3rd & 4th: 1:00 – 1:30
5th & 6th: 1:45 – 2.30
Staff Changes: As you know Ms. Hayes and her husband Francis are expecting their first child in the coming weeks. We wish them all the very best from everyone in the school. Mr. Finnegan has been teaching the class for the last number of weeks and the children in 3rd & 4th have really benefitted from his teaching. We wish Mr. Finnegan the very best in his future teaching career.
In January the class will be taught by Ms. Murphy and we look forward to welcoming Ms. Murphy to our staff.
Swimming Lessons: Swimming lessons will commence in January for children from 3rd – 6th class and we will make contact early in the New Year with the necessary arrangements.
Parish Bazaar: On behalf of everyone in the school I would like to thank the Parents Council for once again organising the Raffle and Cake Sale at the Parish Bazaar.
Kilchreest N.S. Interschool Fundraising Quiz: We will be running the interschool Quiz for children from 3rd – 6th class again this year and the date is provisionally booked for Thursday 18th January at 7:30pm in the Meadow Court Hotel. Further information will follow in the New Year and again we look forward to your help and support.
Dates for your attention:
– Christmas Holidays Friday 22nd December – children go home at 12:30pm
– School re-opens Monday 8th January 2018
– Staff Meeting Wednesday 17th January – children go home at 12:30pm
Clothes Collection: We will be having another school clothes collection in January.
