December certainly was an exciting month for the children as they set up Santa’s workshop and prepared for his arrival on December 25th !! The children took on the roles of Santa’s elves and were busy designing the toys , assembling them, checking the quality of them , wrapping them and finally dispatching them to Santa’s sleigh!!In small world the children made a mini Santa’s grotto and took visits to Santa. The children set up a Greengrocer store and Smoothie bar in the play corner and were busy buying their fruit and vegetables and taking a trip to the Smoothie bar after their busy days shopping!! Read MoreOn Wednesday 20th December , Mummys, Daddys, Sisters, brothers, Grannies & Grandad’s packed into our G.P room to see the infant production of “Shine Star Shine”! This was a play based on the nativity , telling the story of the big star who would just not shine , causing mayhem in Bethlehem with the Shepherds and Wise Men . The other stars tried everything they could, and eventually they got the star to shine. There was Oscar winning performances from all the children and they wowed the audience with their rendition of Away in a Manger and Santa Claus is coming to town. Well done to all the children !! Among the activities on the day were children got to look through a microscope at various cells , see what their heart looks like , and listen to it through a stethoscope, make magic paper and worked worked with magnets.
