Parental Complaints Procedure
Kilchreest National School recognises that parents/legal guardians, hereinafter called parents/guardians, are the primary educators in a child’s life and as such, from time to time, concerns may arise about which they may need to engage with our school. It is expected that engagement will be timely, courteous and resolution focused to ensure that the important relationship between the parent/guardian and the school can be preserved and respected. It is expected that all parties concerned will engage proactively.
This Parental Complaints Procedure (Revised 2024), hereinafter called the Parental Complaints Procedure, has been formulated by the Board of Management, Staff and Parents Association of Scoil Mhuire to meet its obligations under the Education Act, 1998 to provide procedures to address concerns that may be raised by a parent/guardian.
